Dec 12th 2011 11:16PM So, are we to believe that anytime an architect designs two parallel towers, the project will be criticized for insensitivity? Rubbish. As buildings get taller, safety increases with the building of an independent but parallel platform - with strategically placed 'breakaway' points or 'bridges'. 9/11 was an avoidable tragedy (see US foreign policy 1950 to present) which we will never forget. However, let us face the root cause for 9/11 and stop crying 'foul' everytime something reminds us of the barbaric event. I like the proposed design for its boldness and innovation. Carry on.

Feb 25th 2011 10:30PM Good. I worked for those Penske clowns for a while - all smoke and mirrors. Very unprofessional organization. Regardless of how one feels about Daimler, they have a few things going for them which Penske does not: 1) German. 2) Professional 3) Internationally recognized 4) Proven marketing strategy. Finally, I may consider buying a Smart here in Texas - I have one in Europe and I love it.

Purchased one as a project many moons ago but the economy forced me to sell before I even figured out the electrical. Personally, I think it is one of the most appealing 2+2 models ever designed - somewhat along the lines of Jeremy Irons wed to a young Sophia Loren. Sure would love to see the finished product.
